VANDALISM TO VILLAGE CHRISTMAS TREE

We are sad to report that the lovely Christmas tree on the Village Green was vandalised in the early hours of 1st January 2019.  The new star from the top was stolen, the lights were broken and the tree itself damaged.  We would greatly appreciate the return of the star if anybody knows of it’s whereabouts.


CHRISTMAS CAROLS AROUND THE TREE 19TH DECEMBER – CANCELLED

Unfortunately, the planned carols around the Christmas tree on the Village Green have had to be cancelled due to the adverse weather.  We wish all of our residents a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.


WATER SUPPLY ISSUES – 19TH NOVEMBER 2018

Some residents have been experiencing issues with their water supply.  South East Water is working to correct the problem but please call them if you are without water on 03330000365.

17th September 2018 – Leaf blower donation by the Day Group

The Council would like to extend their thanks to Day Aggregates, part of the Day Group, for their very generous donation of a petrol powered leaf-blower to the Council.  This will be used by Councillors to keep the play area and those important community areas free of leaves as we head into Autumn.


Friday 22nd June 2018 – THE HOLLOW PLAY AREA UPDATE

The mini-jumping trampolines and BBQ have been installed today, the safety surfacing around the trampolines will be installed early next week and the trampolines will be ready for use once the safety inspection has been conducted.

THE HOLLOW PLAY AREA IS NOW OPEN!

The Parish Council is delighted to announce that the newly refurbished play area at The Hollow re-opened on Friday 15th June.  The play area is still awaiting some final additions including the in-ground mini trampolines, BBQ and further picnic benches which will be installed as soon as they arrive.  We are sure you will agree that the new play equipment looks fantastic and will hopefully be just as enjoyable to play on!
